Who we are

LFAIT Backup is operated by Lebanese For Advanced Information Technologies SARL (“LFAIT”, “we”). You can reach us at info@lfait.com about anything on this page, including a request to delete data.

What LFAIT Backup is

LFAIT Backup is an internal backup and administration tool. We built it for our own staff to protect our own systems. It is not a consumer product, it is not offered for sale, and it has no public sign-up: the only people who connect an account to it are LFAIT staff operating LFAIT infrastructure.

What Google account data it accesses

LFAIT Backup connects to Google Drive and requests two things, and nothing else:

Files the application itself created, through the drive.file scope. This scope is restricted by Google to the application’s own files. LFAIT Backup cannot see, open, or manage the rest of your Drive — only the folder and the backup archives it created.
The email address of the signed-in account, so the tool can display which Google account it is connected to and so an operator does not upload a backup into the wrong account.

LFAIT Backup does not read your documents, photos, messages, contacts or calendar. It does not request any scope that would allow it to.

Why it needs that access

To upload encrypted backup archives into a folder that the application creates in the operator’s own Google Drive, and to read those archives back when restoring a system. Listing and downloading its own files is how a restore works; without it a backup cannot be recovered.

How the data is stored and shared

Backup archives stay in the operator’s own Google Drive. They are uploaded already encrypted.
We do not transmit this data to any third party, and we do not share it outside LFAIT.
We do not sell it, and we do not use it for advertising, profiling, tracking or training any model.
Access is limited to LFAIT’s own staff, for operating and restoring LFAIT systems.

Retention, revoking access, and deletion

Backup archives are kept only as long as they are useful for recovery, and superseded archives are removed. You stay in control of everything the application stored:

Disconnect the application at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions. After that it can no longer read or write anything in your Drive.
Delete the folder the application created in your Drive. Because it can only touch its own files, deleting that folder removes everything LFAIT Backup ever stored.
Ask us to delete it by emailing info@lfait.com, and we will confirm once it is done.

Changes to this policy

If what the tool accesses ever changes, this page changes with it and the date above is updated. Questions go to info@lfait.com.
